PM Suraksha Bima Yojana 2026 : What are the benefits of this scheme? The Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana 2026 is an accident insurance scheme that provides accidental death and disability cover for death or disability due to an accident. ₹20/- per year for each member.

The premium will be deducted from the account holder’s bank/post office account through the ‘auto debit’ facility on or before June 1st of each annual coverage period under the scheme. To enroll in PMSBY offline, one can visit the bank branch where they have a savings account, or download the form from the official website https://jansuraksha.gov.in/Forms-PMSBY.aspx.

After downloading the application form, candidates can fill in all the details and submit it to the bank along with the required documents. Once successfully submitted, the subscriber will receive an acknowledgement slip cum certificate of insurance.

Who can claim insurance benefits upon the death of the bank account holder who submitted the enrolment form?

In the event of the death of the account holder who enrolled in the scheme, the claim can be filed by the nominee/appointee as per the enrolment form or, if no nomination has been made by the subscriber bank account holder, by the legal heir.
